JMA originally stood for Jack Matthews and Associates. Jack Matthews started his management consulting company in 1984 to provide sales and marketing re-organization services to a wide variety of industries.
During one particular consulting project, Jack Matthews and Associates became involved in the railroad industry. This one project evolved into the core business of today's JMA Railroad Supply Company (also known as JMA).
JMA's first client was a well-known remanufacturer of locomotive air compressors. Quality begat quality, and now we are the most well-known short line and industrial railroad representative in the United States.
JMA currently represents 14 quality manufacturers to the short line and Class I railroads. We provide everything from $10 replacement parts to $250,000 capital investments in remanufactured locomotives.
We have spent many years creating the momentum that we currently enjoy in the industry, and it is our quality people that help us maintain that excellence in service. |
